Stay

What are your check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is from 3:00 PM and check-out is by 11:00 AM.
Can I check in early?
Depending on room cleaning status, we may be able to accommodate an earlier check-in. Please contact us before arrival.
My check-in will be late. Do I need to contact you?
If you expect to arrive after midnight, please contact us in advance.
Can I extend my check-out time?
We may be able to accommodate this depending on availability. 1 hour late: ¥1,000 / 2 hours late: ¥2,000 / from 1:00 PM onwards a full night's charge will apply.
Can you store my luggage before check-in or after check-out?
We can store luggage from the day of your stay. After check-out, we will keep it until your departure that same day.
Can I be placed on a cancellation waiting list?
We are sorry, but we do not accept cancellation waiting list requests.
Can I use a credit card?
We accept VISA, Mastercard, JCB, AMEX (American Express), Diners Club, and UnionPay.
Is there a curfew?
There is no curfew.
However, for security reasons the entrance automatic door is locked from 2:00 AM.
If you return after 2:00 AM, please hold your room key card over the sensor in front of the automatic door.
Can I use gift cards?
Gift cards are not accepted.
Travel vouchers issued by travel agencies are also not accepted.
How are children's rates handled?
Co-sleeping is free of charge for preschool-age children. Elementary-school-age children and older are charged at the same rate as adults.
Can I pay the room charge in advance on behalf of the guest? (Third-party prepayment)
Yes, this is possible. In that case, please come to the hotel in advance to settle the payment.
We do not accept later billing.
Are there membership terms and conditions?
Please refer to the Membership Terms page on the hotel official website.
When do cancellation fees apply?
A cancellation fee applies from 7 days before the stay date. Please refer to our booking terms for details.

Room

Can I use the internet in my room?
All rooms offer free Wi-Fi for internet access.
Do the in-room TVs have HDMI ports?
Yes. All in-room TVs are equipped with an HDMI port.
HDMI cables are not available for loan, so please bring your own.
Can I watch BS broadcasts?
Yes. BS broadcasts can be viewed free of charge in all rooms.

Are pay-per-view broadcasts (room theater) available?
We are sorry, but pay-per-view broadcasts are not available.
Are chargers provided in the rooms?
Every room is equipped with a multi-charger compatible with iPhone 5 and later, and various Android devices.
Is there a humidifier in the room?
Every room is equipped with an air purifier with humidifier function.
(For hygiene reasons, the water tank is empty; please fill it with water yourself.)
Is there a refrigerator in the rooms?
A quiet refrigerator is provided. Please use it for keeping items cool.
What types of pillows are available?
Two types of pillows are available: hard (firm) and soft.
Is there a women-only floor?
We are sorry, but there is no women-only floor.
Do the rooms have bathtubs?
Semi-Double, Standard Twin, Standard Double, Superior Twin, Deluxe Twin, and Universal Twin rooms have a bathtub. Moderate Twin and Moderate Double rooms have a shower room (separate from the toilet and washbasin).

Is there a public bath?
A public bath with sauna is located on the 2nd floor.

Are there beverage vending machines?
Two vending machines are located on the 2nd floor in front of the public bath. (Soft drinks and packaged beverages)
Is Wi-Fi available?
Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel, in both guest rooms and common areas.
Is there a coin laundry?
A coin laundry is located on the 2nd floor with 5 washers and 5 dryers. Wash: ¥400 / Dry: ¥100.
Is there a restaurant on site?
Restaurant & Lounge ENT is located on the 1st floor.
6:30–10:00: Breakfast buffet

From 11:00, the venue operates as the Premium Lounge exclusively for hotel guests.
11:00–15:00: Tea Time
15:00–17:00: Afternoon Tea Time
17:30–19:30: Cocktail Time
19:30–21:00: Bar Time
Is there a banquet hall?
We are sorry, but there is no banquet hall.
The Premium Lounge for hotel guests only is open from 11:00.
Is smoking allowed in the hotel?
All guest rooms are non-smoking. Please use the smoking room on the 1st floor.

Japanese Spa

Is there a public bath? What are the hours?
A guests-only public bath with sauna is located on the 2nd floor. Hours: 16:00–25:00 (1:00 AM) / 6:00–9:00.
Can non-guests use the public bath?
The public bath is available to hotel guests only.
Can I use the public bath if I have tattoos?
We are sorry, but guests with tattoos are not permitted to use the public bath.
May I walk to the public bath in samue (nightwear) and slippers?
You may walk to the public bath only in samue and slippers. Please refrain from entering the 1F lobby (restaurant) in this attire.
Are towels provided at the public bath?
Towels are not provided at the public bath. Please bring the face towel and bath towel from your room.
What amenities are available at the public bath?
Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, cleansing (women), scalp essence (men), facial cleanser, lotion, milky lotion, cotton pads, cotton swabs, hairbrush, razor, and hair dryer are provided.

Restaurant

Is breakfast available? What is on the menu?
Yes. From 6:30 to 10:00 (last entry 9:45), a Japanese-Western buffet breakfast is served on the 1st floor.
Is breakfast for hotel guests only? What is the price?
Non-guests are also welcome.

It is located on the 1st floor.
Can non-guests use the Premium Lounge?
We are sorry. The Premium Lounge is reserved for hotel guests only and is complimentary to use.
What are the Premium Lounge hours?
Tea Time 11:00–15:00 / Afternoon Tea Time 15:00–17:00 / Cocktail Time 17:30–19:30 / Bar Time 19:30–21:00 (last entry 20:40)
What drinks and food are served?
Drinks: coffee, tea, juice, beer, wine, sake, cocktails, and more.
Food: doughnuts, daily hors d'oeuvres, snacks.
*The selection varies by time slot.

Service

What items can I borrow that are not in the room?
We offer a range of loan items including blankets, nail clippers, thermometers, sewing kits, LAN cables, and trouser presses. Please feel free to ask at the front desk.
Can I ship luggage to the hotel in advance?
We will hold any items shipped to us until your check-in. Please include the guest's full name and the stay date on the address label.
Can I send packages from the hotel by courier?
Items can be sent via Sagawa Express between 8:30 AM and 11:30 AM.
Please note that frozen/refrigerated courier service is not available.
Is there a laundry service?
Please bring your laundry to the front desk by 8:00 AM. Items will be ready the same day in the evening.
Is there a massage service?
Yes. Please contact the front desk via the in-room phone.

Access

Is there a car park?
A 19-space car park (with 2 EV chargers) is located on the premises. Reservations are not accepted. Guest discount: ¥2,000 from 15:00 to 11:00 the next day. General rate: ¥300 per 20 minutes.
Can I reserve a parking space?
We are sorry, but reservations are not accepted.
What should I do if the car park is full?
There are also nearby car parks. Please ask at the front desk and we will guide you.

Area

Is there a convenience store nearby?
There is a FamilyMart and a Lawson about 2 minutes away on foot.

Best Rate Guarantee

Why is the official website cheaper?
Because the official website offers a Best Rate Guarantee.
The rates available by phone reservation are cheaper.
Only rates booked via the website are eligible, so this falls outside the scope of the guarantee.
The rates listed in travel agency brochures are cheaper.
Travel agency products (brochures and websites) set their own selling prices, which the hotel cannot control, so they are not eligible.
I made a one-night reservation starting on a certain date, but a multi-night plan on another booking site is cheaper for that same date.
Multi-night plans are conditional rates, so they are only eligible if the stay dates (arrival and departure) are identical.
Both ○ and △ are weekdays, but △ is being sold at a lower rate.
Only identical dates are eligible for the guarantee.
Cheaper rates are being sold on overseas hotel booking sites.
Overseas hotel booking sites are not eligible for the guarantee.

L Members Club

What is the L Members Club?
It is a membership program that offers special benefits when you stay at HOTEL ELCIENT.
Are there enrollment or annual fees?
There are no enrollment or annual fees.
What are the member benefits?
The following benefits are available:
- Members-only rates when booking through the official website.
- Earn V Points on your room charges (when booking through the official website or by phone).
- Earn V Points when dining at the restaurant.
- Use V Points toward your payments.
- Receive a birthday coupon (delivered on the 1st of your birthday month).
Is there a membership card or certificate?
There is no physical membership card.
To use the restaurant discount benefit, please present your My Account screen.
Can I become a member without an email address?
We are sorry, but registering an email address is required.
Is there a time limit on membership?
There is no time limit.
I forgot to present my V Point (card, app, etc.) at checkout. Can the points be added later?
We are sorry, but points cannot be added at a later date.
I forgot my login password.
Please reset your password from "Forgot your password?" on the login screen.
My account has been locked. What should I do?
If an incorrect password is entered six times at login, the account is temporarily locked.
The lock is released after one hour. Once unlocked, please reset your password from "Forgot your password?" on the login screen.
I would like to stop receiving promotional emails.
After logging in, please go to My Account > Edit Personal Information and uncheck "Receive promotional emails from the property."
Please note that if you unsubscribe from promotional emails, some benefits, including the birthday coupon, will no longer be available.
I would like to change my email address.
You can change it from "Change Email Address" in My Account.
I haven't received my birthday coupon.
Birthday coupons are sent to eligible members at 10:00 on the 1st of each month.
If you registered as a member during your birthday month after the 1st, the coupon will not be delivered. If you have a stay reservation during your birthday month, please contact the secretariat.
Where can I use the restaurant discount benefit?
The benefit is valid at the restaurant of HOTEL ELCIENT KYOTO HACHIJOGUCHI during dinner and bar hours. At checkout, please present a screen confirming your membership (member email or login screen).
I made a reservation through a restaurant booking site. Is the restaurant discount applicable?
Reservations made through restaurant booking sites and similar third parties are not eligible.
I forgot to present my member login screen at the restaurant. Can the discount be applied later?
We are sorry, but the discount cannot be applied at a later date.
I would like to change my registered information.
You can update it from My Account (member page).
Can I change my registered information by phone?
We are sorry, but changes to registered information are not accepted by phone. Please update them from My Account (member page).
How is my registered information used?
Your registered information is used to verify guest details when making reservations and similar inquiries.
Members who have consented to receive promotional emails will also receive special offers and information at the registered email address.

How do I cancel my membership?
If you wish to cancel your membership, please use the "Withdraw" button at the bottom of My Account (member page). Please note that upon withdrawal, all member benefits will become invalid, and members-only stay plans and similar communications will no longer be sent. Reservation information will also no longer be available for viewing.
