You can check in from 3:00 PM in the afternoon.
Please check out by 10:00 AM in the morning.
Can you hold my luggage before check in or after check out?
We can hold your luggage for up to 24 hours before check in or after check out. Feel free to ask us.
Do you accept credit cards?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, JCB, American Express, Diners Club and UnionPay cards.
Is there a curfew?
There is no curfew.

However the automatic door at the entrance is locked at 2:00 AM to prevent crime.
If you return after 2:00 AM, call our staff over the intercom and we will be happy to assist you.


Do the rooms have refrigerators?
To ensure our guests enjoy a peaceful night's sleep, we have installed quiet refrigerators in our guest rooms.
The refrigeration temperature is designed to be milder than that of typical household appliances.
If you need cooling or freezing services, kindly let our front desk staff assist you in storing your items.
Do you have any foreign TV channels?
Yes. All rooms come with the following channels for free:
CNNUS, Phoenix Chinese Channel, SET News Channel, KBS World.
Do the rooms have the internet?
Free Wi-Fi connections are available in all rooms.
You can also connect to the internet using a LAN cable.
There is a limited number of cables available for borrowing at the front desk.
Do the rooms have humidifiers?
All our rooms come with air purifiers with built-in humidifiers.
(For hygiene reasons there is no water in the tank so please add water before using the machine.)
What kinds of pillow do you have?
We have a normal set of pillows and we can also provide hard and low pillows.


Do you have a car park?
Yes. Hotel guests can use the HOTEL ELCIENT KYOTO parking lot managed by Mitsui no Repark. 
Purchase a parking ticket from the ticket machine and present it when you check in. The front desk will calculate your parking fees.

Is there a bicycle parking area? Could you tell me the bicycle parking fee?
Yes, there is a bicycle parking lot on site.
You can park up to 18 bicycles and 3-4 small bikes at the covered bicycle parking lot.
Free for in-house guests.
※There is a limit to the number of bicycles that can be parked.
If it is full, please use a public bicycle parking lot.
※Motorcycles of medium size or larger cannot be parked in the bicycle parking lot.


Are meals provided?  What are they like?
From 6:30 AM to 10:00 AM, a breakfast buffet with both Japanese and Western food is available at the restaurant on the first floor. You don't need a reservation.
It costs ¥1650 for adults and ¥880 for children in elementary school and is free for infants (all prices include tax). Please pay to the front desk.
Are there microwaves?
There are microwaves on the 2nd, 4th and 8th floors of the main building.
(The ones on the 4th and 8th floors are located in the coin laundry/vending machine corners).
Is there a laundry service?
Yes, we have a same-day laundry service.
Bring your laundry to the front desk along with the form you can find in the drawer of the desk in your room by 10:00 AM in the morning. It will be ready by 5:00 PM that same day.
Note, however, that there are no laundry services on Sundays, holidays and during the New Year and Obon festival periods.
Can I send my luggage by delivery from the hotel?
Yes. We offer services through Kuroneko Yamato and Yu-Pack, two Japanese delivery services.
We prefer it if you send items cash on delivery. However please let us know if you want to pay in advance.
Can I have my luggage delivered to the hotel in advance?
Yes. We will hold any luggage sent until the guest checks in.

However, please note the following points before sending anything:

There is a Large Japanese spa with a sauna on the 2nd floor of the annex.
Hotel guests can use it for free.

What kind of amenities does the Large Japanese spa have?

Are towels available in the public baths?
Towels are not provided in the public baths. Please bring your own face and bath towels from your room. Towel changes are available at the front desk.
Can I wear nightwear and slippers to the public baths?
Yes, you can wear a nightwear and slippers to the public baths only, but not to the lobby (restaurant) on the first floor.
Can people with tattoos use the public bath?
We do not allow people with tattoos to use the baths.


How many seats are there?
There are approximately 100 seats.
Do I have to make a breakfast reservation?
You don't need a reservation. You can enjoy the Western-Japanese breakfast buffet by paying at the front desk on the same day.
